PART ONE : THE DESIGN PROCESS

April Nemeth is the designer + artist behind every product.

April has been drawing for as long as she can remember and has an eye for clean, simple design. Stemming from her own desire to find modern, minimal products that are well-designed, she created Little Korboose.

Her original hand drawings are greatly inspired by her wanderlust spirit and many her travels, specifically to the western part of the US.

"The southwestern theme comes from my childhood. We traveled out West a lot. We had an unconventional upbringing. My parents were very hippie-ish and my mom was an artist. It was all about the family unit. We always had a voice and all pitched in. I don't remember ever not knowing that I was an artist."

Her thoughtful creative process begins with drawing and sketching ideas for new patterns and products.

When her hand-drawn pattern is finished, the LK team then screen prints it onto organic
flour sack fabric. Next, fabric is cut, sewn and assembled according to April's plan for the new product.

Then, April tests out each prototype to make sure she is offering a product she can truly feel good about and believe in. She is passionate and dedicated to creating her products right here in Cleveland, OH and throughout the USA with the highest quality possible.

April's bold designs come to life when they are screen printed. The black ink pops off the crisp cotton to create a striking graphic, whether it's on a dish towel, accent pillow or hanging tapestry.
