A Note from April Nemeth, Founder:

Intention is a body of work featuring 14 one-of-a-kind ceramic wall hangings, designed and assembled in my atelier, by my hands.

Living life in an intentional way is one of my core values, one I was raised with from the moment I was born. Our memories run deep at a cellular level, extending beyond what we accumulate in our individual lifetimes. Being intentional with our thoughts, words and actions keeps us connected to what is real: the RIGHT NOW. It can help us experience more clarity, be more present, and bring more purpose and meaning to our lives.

Each piece in this 14-piece collection reflects and is named for an individual intention. Reminders to bring you back from the past, which is memory, or from the future, which is only imagination, to the right now. Symbols to carry into your daily rituals, lifting you up and helping you shed.

Each individual handmade shape contributing to the overall piece is purposely organic and imperfect, reflecting the nature of life and the possibility to evolve and transform. Perfection is an endpoint: no further evolution, no possibility for improvement. Imperfection is the most beautiful part of creation. Whatever direction our lives take, there is an opportunity to change. We can always transform.

This collection is not just about the individual.

This collection is about separate shapes and forms interconnecting and working together intentionally, creating something larger and more brilliant than the individual. In the same way, we as individual beings are all interconnected and can take on many shapes and forms, working together to create something larger than ourselves.
